Family Vacation
Who doesn’t want to travel? I know everyone wants to. It’s just a matter of time and money! If only I have all the time and money in the world, I’d travel the world nonstop!
Hubby and I are travel buffs! If I will be given another vacation, I would love to bring the whole family and check this All inclusive family vacation Mexico that I saw earlier today! I have never been to Mexico and its one of my a must visit places! Hubby and I are beach junkies so its expected that when summer time our destinations involves with beaches! But since I still haven’t been to Mexico, why not try this Azul Beach Hotel? I bet it would be great visiting this part of the country! I’ve heard wonderful words about this place and hopefully someday I will get to visit Mexico! One more thing about going to Mexico is that I would like to practice my Spanish! Know a little and it would be cool seeing that part of the world! Don’t you? ![]()
Fire Prevention
Since it’s a fire prevention month, here are some steps on how to prevent one. These are for all of us! Specially for me since I run a home;)
- Use only UL-listed (Underwriter’s Laboratory) or FM (Factory Mutual) approved appliances and tools.
- Check regularly for frayed or worn power cords or plugs, and replace them immediately.
- Don’t operate appliances, switches or outlets with wet hands.
- Never plug in more appliances than a socket is designed to handle.
- Don’t store flammable items over the stove.
- Turn pot handles inward so children can’t pull them down.
- Keep a fire extinguisher on a wall nearby the stove.
- Keep areas around stoves, refrigerators and dishwashers clean to prevent dust particles from igniting.
- Keep trash and other items away from the furnace or water heater, preferably stored in sealed containers.
- Check heating equipment annually.
- Store gasoline and other flammables in tight metal containers, away from the house - never near heating equipment or a pilot light.
Have a great day!
Tips if You Need A Vaccine Or Not
Summer is around the corner and most of the travelers are flocking to somewhere warm and new to the family. some others will travel abroad and some other will stay at lakes, beaches and up mountain to experience something new. I thought this tips looks handy!
Here are some tips on who should and shouldn’t get vaccinated.
- WHO SHOULD GET VACCINATED: Adults over the age of 50; all children between the ages of six months and 18 years; pregnant women; healthcare workers.
- WHO SHOULD NOT GET VACCINATED: Children younger than six months; people allergic to chicken eggs; people with past allergic reactions to vaccines
The flu virus is airborne and you can catch it just about anywhere: talking to your neighbor, shaking hands with a colleague, or brushing against a railing at a football game. So be sure to wash your hands often to prevent infection.
Helping the Husband
Economy crisis here and everywhere it’s sad but it’s true! So, I was thinking of going back to school and continue my masters degree. I’m still not sure if it’s gonna be next school year because I still cannot leave my 1 yr old. But hopefully though the earlier the better. This school mba makes it a lot easier for sure. Since it’s online, I can definitely try. What good thing about this school is that they offer 109 graduate and undergraduate specialization. There are tons of choices and you’ll never go out of stuff to specialize if ever! This school offers graduate degree programs in business, information technology, education, human services, psychology, public health, public safety, and bachelor’s degree programs in business, information technology and a lot more!

Modern Jewelry Trends
Fashion and style trends come and go, and some savvy fashionistas tell you to keep everything because eventually it “will come back in style”. The jewelry industry, however, is not one for recycling design concepts. Currently one of the fastest developing trends is the use of unique and alternative metals for everything from men’s “dog tag” style pendants to wedding bands. Tungsten, palladium, stainless steel, rhodium, niobium, zirconium and titanium are appearing everywhere.
In wedding bands, gold and platinum are having a run for their money up against titanium. This metal is totally resistant to corrosive materials, is hypo-allergenic and non-magnetic. It is available in its traditional “silvery” format or as black titanium that gives a distinctive and “edgy” look to any jewelry in which it appears. Additionally, titanium is remarkably durable (as tough as steel) but lightweight and highly scratch resistant. Many jewelers anticipate more and more wedding bands to be offered in this updated material.
Tungsten is the next most popular “alternative” material, and it is easy to see why. Once polished the metal usually never requires any further treatment. It is so hard that sizing can present an issue however, yet this also makes rings and jewelry entirely scratch proof. Many jewelers are now making men’s engagement and wedding rings available in this extremely modern metal.
Palladium is a wonderful white gold alternative, though it currently is approximately the same price. It is a hypo allergenic material and has a significantly stronger nature than gold though it is also much lighter in total weight. Its brilliance often allows it to be mistaken for platinum which is why it appears in wedding and diamond jewelry more and more often.
Finally, stainless steel is fast becoming the “in” metal with twenty and thirty somethings who are “in the know” where fashion is concerned. The grittier and more utilitarian appearance of the metal puts it into direct contrast with the elegance of the diamonds or other stones set into rings, bracelets or pendants, and this is exactly the fashion statement desired. Though this is currently an alternative look, many believe this new spin on traditional jewelry will quickly become popular, especially when the durability and low cost of stainless steel is taken into consideration.
